We ordered three portions of chow mein and one serving of fried rice along with four beverages. However, there was an error at the front counter, resulting in us initially receiving one portion of… chow mein. After about 10 minutes, we received the second chow mein, followed by the fried rice after another 10-minute wait. When we inquired about our additional chow mein order, the waitress informed us that it was not placed.While understanding that mistakes can happen, when we finally received the additional chicken chow mein, we noticed that the chicken was dry, the chow mein overly oily, and there were very few vegetables in it. This visit marked our second experience with this establishment; the first was quite enjoyable. However, this time, we were left disappointed, and we don’t plan to return.Although the prices are reasonable, the value for money on this occasion was subpar, earning it a two-star rating. During our visit, we observed the chef simultaneously preparing 2-3 servings of chow mein in a single wok, resulting in a soggy rather than crispy texture. The flavors in the food seemed lacking, and we detected a significant amount of MSG. It’s possible that there have been changes in the kitchen staff. Overall, our dining experience on September 26, 2023, at approximately 12:30 pm was far from satisfactory.read more

What a wild find. Taste might be a little acquired but after you get past the slight sourness of the soup/sauces which ghey use, it really is terrific. Lamb was a little tough to bite and chew but… other than that everything else was fantastic 👌 we really enjoyed our meal hereread more

Been there so many times as I am a momo lover person. And I must admit I haven’t found this type of authentic momos all over Melbourne. Momos were just mouthwatering. Price wisely reasonable. An authentic Nepalese restaurant that provides an enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere. Lunch time during the week tends to be very busy, but it is understandable. I ordered the Chicken Jhol momo, which… was very tasty, fresh, and delicious. I was surprised by the size of the portion, as well as how filling it was. It is easy to understand why this restaurant has received such high ratings. Generally, customer service was superb. Stumbled upon here when we were actually going to go to McDonald’s. So glad we did because this is the best Momo’s ever! So yummy and a great variety…perfect for a freezing night in Melbourne.… Samosas were delicious too. And loved the hot milk tea.Only complaint is there was a big group sitting opposite us who were too loud. We could barely have a conversation as they were too rowdy.Will be back for sure😊read more

It was almost packed with people when we visited. But one of the staff members arranged a table for us. We ordered chicken steamed momos and chicken chowmein. The service was pretty quick and both… the dishes were tasty. Liked the chowmein but really loved the momos. Had tasty momos after a while. Staff was also friendly. Overall a good experience. Flavours were amazing. The curry momo was a favourite. We ordered the spicy chow mein which was indeed spicy but delicious regardless. Personal preference, the noodles were too soft for my liking and… the curry chicken was a bit cold. However. The flavours made up for it.read more

Really tasty vegan momos. 10 for just $15. Super filling. Your choice of spice level for the sauce. Quick service. Casual, laid back dining experience.Small side note: They seem to have a bit of an… issue with sparrows flying in and pinching food from tables that haven’t yet been cleared, which I found whimsical but something to be mindful of from a hygiene perspective I suppose. Good thing is the birds don’t bother you if you’re still seated at your table; they just wait for you to leave.read more

We just had the rice and chicken curry and the samosa chat. It was medium spicy which was still to spicy for me, I had to order some joghurt to eat my meal. The food was amazing and the mango lassi… tasty as hell. I would definitely recommend stopping by for some delicious Nepalese food! And it was surprisingly cheap, we were really pleased for such a high quality food for this low price.read more

Nice place, a bit busy during a weekday lunch but nothing major. The steamed chicken momos were good, the dip wasn’t so much. My friend didn’t like the taste of the dip so he left it out.… Nonetheless, it’s a place worth visiting for authentic Nepalese food.read more

Food here is SO GOOD. We had vegan Momo’s in soup and a chicken fried rice for Sunday lunch. We came here because it has lots of vegan options and will definitely be coming back for sure. Food was really good, but I saw them move people around from their tables. Our food (just fried momos) arrived super late. The front of house staff whisked away our bowls right after we finished… eating, indicating that they wanted us gone. My partner and I ordered chicken fried rice and egg noodles here. I was excited to eat at this restaurant but they really felt short on the taste 🙁 The noodles were dry. However, the people are… really sweet at the restaurant. Service staff is polite and courteous. I am sure the momos must be great but we did not try them.read more

Always busy, not impressive but good portion and varieties. Be ready with all spices from Nepal which can be quite strong for some people. Their samosas are great! Most of the food are high on carbs… like all Asian foods. I would suggest, increase the veggies, reduce the carbs or portion. Or different options for people to choose from.read more

My Nepalese friend brought me here for lunch and said I had to try the buff momo (Buffalo dumpling) soup. As with any ethnic food, you need to suspend your expectations and trust their home cooking… skills – and my friend’s recommendations were spot on: beautifully seasoned ground buffalo meat inside a dumpling with a mild curry-type soup broth. I had mine medium-hot and reckon I could have gone the full heat. Nepalese dumplings are thicker than your typical Chinese or Japanese, but still delicate and tasty. This is a busy and popular cafe, so your order may need a 20 to 30 minute wait, but its worth it.As I only tried a single dish, I’ll start with 4 stars. After I’ve been back and tried more dishes, we’ll adjust the rating as appropriate!read more

First experience was perfect, amazing 5-star Momos with great service. Went another two times which were not great. The second time we went, my order was incorrect, and when the correct order came it… was cold and had a piece of hair. The third time they charged us more than they were supposed to (only gave half the cash discount) although we’ve already pointed out the difference prior to them giving just half the cash discount, which made the whole experience not so pleasant.read more

This ones an absolute delight! Great food and lovely staff. Really appreciate the owner coming up to every table and asking for people’s reviews. The most prominent dish in Nepalese cuisine is… probably momos and the momos here are to die for. They’re tender, juicy and perfectly spiced which makes you not wanna stop. I had their chicken momo johl and its the 2nd best ive had in melbourne. They served it the correct way …the soup was cold and the hot momos warm it as you eat…yum!
